How does it work?

Green tea extract intake is associated with increased weight loss.

At the South China Institute of Botany China, scientists published a study in the scientific Journal of Medicinal Food on the benefits of metabolic substances called ‘catechins’, found in tea. They found that green tea extract intake is associated with increased weight loss, due to assisting the body to burn off excess food.

Green tea has been proposed as a strategy for weight loss and weight maintenance, as along with other substances, it may increase energy expenditure. Researchers also stated that positive effects on body-weight management have been shown using green tea mixtures, and that tea catechins have anti-angiogenic properties that may prevent development
of obesity.
